Michelle joined KHQ/SWX as a Sports Anchor / Reporter in August of 2010. She arrived in Eastern Washington from KEZI-TV in Eugene where she was the Sports Director and the 2009 AP Award Winner for Best Sportscast. She enjoyed covering the 2010 Rose Bowl with the Oregon Ducks, as well as, the Oregon State Beavers.
Prior to being in Western Oregon, Michelle was the Sports Director at KRBC-TV, in Abilene, Texas.
She is originally from California, born in Southern California and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and in the top 10 percent of her class at San Francisco State University and graduated with a double major in Radio & Television Broadcast and Journalism. During college years, she not only anchored and reported for The College Sports Report and State of Events, she also interned at KTVU-TV in the sports department. She also stayed busy working for ESPN-Kwokman Productions where she was a production assistant, as well as for Berkeley Community Media where she co-hosted and field reported for '28 Minutes.'
An athlete all her life, from basketball, softball, soccer and martial arts, Michelle also enjoys working out, wakeboarding, snowboarding and hanging out with family and friends.
