HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a 75-year-old Alaska man who failed to show up in Wolf Creek this weekend as expected.
Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says Elbert Ross was driving from Wasilla, Alaska, with the ashes of a loved one to be scattered at Wolf Creek Cemetery. A family member called law enforcement officers on Monday to report him missing.
Ross is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 160 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was driving a 2002 blue Kia Rio with Alaska license plate EKA969.
Dutton says Ross was possibly seen asking for directions at the Oasis Bar in Wolf Creek on Friday.
An attempt-to-locate has been put out in Montana, Washington, Idaho and Nevada.
