WORLEY, Idaho (AP) - The Coeur d' Alene Tribe says it will expand its casino hotel near Worley, Idaho, by 50% and add other amenities in a $75 million project that will start immediately.
It's the latest escalation in a casino expansions in the Spokane market. Two other casinos have announced their own projects.
The Kalispel Tribe is expanding its casino in the Spokane suburb of Airway Heights, and the Spokane Tribe of Indians has announced plans to pursue a casino on land it owns in Airway Heights as well.
The Coeur d' Alene Tribe will add 105 hotel rooms, several restaurants, a spa and other facilities at its casino. The project is expected to add 150 new permanent jobs, and will be completed in 2011.
