SULTAN, Wash. (AP) - Five Snohomish County teens, including two brothers, have been jailed in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old Marysville youth.
The victim was identified Thursday as Antonio Faris Marks. Officials initially said they thought he lived in Lynnwood.
Detectives say the beating and stabbing of Marks early Wednesday in the town of Sultan were caught on surveillance video. The Herald of Everett says the footage shows numerous people approaching Marks in the middle of a street. The boy is punched in the face, dropping him to the ground. Court documents say he was struck repeatedly, then stabbed several times. Investigators believe an earlier argument prompted the attack. Marks died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Five Sultan teens - three boys and two girls, aged 16 to 19 - have been arrested for investigation of second-degree murder. Bail of $1 million was set Thursday for 1 of them - 19-year-old Mario Antonio Castillo.
