Poplawski, a sophomore at Idaho this fall, had rounds of 80-74-80 during the 54-hole event.
In Pacific Northwest Golf Association, Amanda Jacobs and Jarred Bossio lost their Thursday matches. Jacobs, a Vandal senior this fall, was eliminated from the women's tournament after a 2-up decision to Dottie Ardena of Sun City, Calif., in the round of 16.
Bossio, a sophomore at Idaho this fall, lost 3 and 2 in the round of 32 to Brandon Harkins of Walnut Creek, Calif.
