
SPOKANE, Wash.- Production on the latest horror movie from John Carpenter ("Halloween", "In the Mouth of Madness") is set to begin Monday in Spokane.
The movie, "The Ward" will be Carpenter's first effort at directing since 2001's "Ghosts of Mars." Filming is set to take place on portions of "The Ward" from July 27th through September 4th throughout Spokane County.
Local production company North by Northwest will handle the technical chores.
"The Ward" is about an institutionalized young woman who is terrorized by a ghost. The cast list includes actresses Amber Heard and Danielle Panabaker.
Log Line: "The story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night."
