Shupe was found in possession of more than four pounds of marijuana (Photo Courtesy: Oregon State Police)WASCO COUNTY, Ore. - A Spokane man was arrested Friday afternoon in southern Wasco County after he was stopped by an Oregon State Police trooper for a traffic violation and was found in possession of over four pounds of marijuana and more than $18,000 in cash.
According to OSP, around 2:00 p.m. Friday the trooper stopped a 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier station wagon on Highway 97 for failing to maintain a single lane of travel.
The trooper identified the driver as as 54-year-old Scott Shupe.
An investigation related to the traffic stop led to the seizure of over four pounds of marijuana and more than $18,900 cash in the vehicle. The marijuana has an estimated value of $10,000.
Shupe was arrested and transported to the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility in The Dalles where he was booked for Unlawful Manufacturing and Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
