REARDAN, Wash. - A fire that broke out in hay being hauled on a flatbed trailer closed Highway 2 for approximately three hours Wednesday evening.
The fire, reported just after 5:30 p.m., blocked Highway 2 four miles east of Reardan. Fire crews arrived on scene and immediately began spraying water over the hay.
The truck was separated from the trailer in the early stages of the fire.
