SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) - A northern Idaho woman who pleaded guilty to defrauding a Sandpoint nonprofit that helps cancer patients and their families has been sentenced to a year in jail.
Carey Rose Bradshaw was sentenced last week in 1st District Court. Judge Barbara Buchanan suspended 180 days of the sentence and gave Bradshaw credit for 23 days she's already spent in custody.
The 28-year-old Bradshaw must also pay $1,200 in fines and $695 in restitution, the Bonner County Daily Bee reported.
Bradshaw pleaded guilty in May to 12 misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit theft by deception as part of a deal that dismissed 12 other theft-by-deception counts.
