SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.- A woman in Spokane Valley was cited for failure to yield after she hit a teenager riding his bike with her truck.
It happened just after 7:00 Monday morning at the intersection of 32nd and Woodlawn. Spokane Sheriff's Deputies say the woman was at a stop sign there turning left onto 32nd. She told deputies she was looking to the right and made the turn. Unfortunately the teenager was to her left so she didn't see him. Her truck hit the teen and knocked him off his bike.
Officials say the teen was obeying all traffic laws and was in the bike lane. That led them to cite the driver. The teen was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. He is expected to fully recover.
