
STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - Friday, the Spokane Police Department's Special Investigation Unit seized approximately 40 pounds of marijuana and around $70,000 as part of medical marijuana investigation.
During the investigation, a suspect was followed to a location in Stevens County where a marijuana grow was located.
At the Stevens County location, police discovered evidence of marijuana being imported from Canada and ledgers indicating transactions of more than $100,000 were being conducted.
David Raugust, 28 and 52-year-old Greg Breken were arrested and booked on charges of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
The Special Investigations Unit is crediting Officer Aaron Douglas' instincts and investigative skills for the successful conclusion of this investigation. Douglas recently passed away following a battle with cancer.
