ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) - Aberdeen Fire Chief Dave Carlberg says a four-alarm blaze has destroyed the Stouffer-Moore Floor Covering store. The fire was reported about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Carlberg tells KBKW no one was in the building at the time and the response by fire crews quickly turned to containment. He says flames broke through the roof within a half hour.
Police helped control a crowd of nearly 200 that gathered to watch flames that rose high into the night sky.
