
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - A man has been hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in Spokane Valley.
Friday afternoon, Spokane Valley Police officers responded to a report of a suicidal male inside a residence in the 4700 block of E. 3rd Ave. The caller said his friend had threatened to hurt himself and had a gun.
Two officers responded to check on the 27-year-old man. When they arrived, the suspect came out of the house and confronted officers. Officers then fired at the suspect.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds. The two officers were not injured.
Spokane Police Department detectives are leading the investigation.
