MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. - A domestic violence dispute early Wednesday morning ended with one man under arrest and a pit bull shot to death.
Just before 2:30 a.m. 25-year-old Anna Schultz called 911 and reported that her husband, 32-year-old Tyson Schultz, had threatened to kill her.
Anna, along with two other people living in the home, left the house after Tyson made the threats, however the Schultz’ two daughters, ages 2 and 3-years-old, were not able to make it out of the house.
Deputies say Tyson called one of the people Anna left with and threatened to kill the two girls and the pets - three pit bulls - if Anna did not come back.
When deputies responded to the home, Tyson threatened to release the pit bulls if they attempted to enter the house.
After Tyson refused to let deputies in the home, Anna gave them a key so they could safely get the children out.
Once deputies got into the house, one of the pit bulls charged them and was tasered.
The taser was not enough to stop the pit bull and deputies were forced to shoot the animal with a pistol first and when it kept charging, it was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Tyson was arrested on multiple charges and deputies report the daughters were found unharmed and sleeping, having never woken up during the ordeal.
