SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Prosecutor's Office will file vehicular homicide charges against Lester LaFleur today for the death of his four-year-old son, Gerrin. Gerrin died last August near N. Wallis Rd and E. Elliot Rd when he fell off a pick up truck.
There have been conflicting reports about how the young boy received his injuries. The family maintains that the truck wasn't moving at the time of accident but that story wasn't consistent with the coroner's report. In that report, autopsy results now show the boy died from injuries that authorities say could not have happened if the truck was parked.
After the Prosecutor's Office officially files the charges against Lester LaFleur he will be sent an arraignment date. KHQ will continue to follow this case through the legal process and bring you any new information as it develops.
