
SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane County employee was taken to the hospital Friday after suffering a medical emergency and crashing through two fences before coming to a stop next to a power sub station.
The man, driving a Spokane County service truck, suffered a medical emergency and crossed over Highway 2 near Woolard rd. Unable to control the truck, the man struck a road sign before crashing through a barbed wire fence and a chain link fence surrounding a power sub station.

Fortunately, the truck's tires got stuck in gravel on the edge of the sub station brining the out-of-control truck to a stop before it could hit the station.
Authorities say the truck's tires were still spinning when they arrived on scene.
The driver was awake but not coherent, according to authorities. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
It is unclear what type of medical emergency the driver suffered.
