KHQ Right Now - News and Weather for Spokane and North Idaho | Nearly 4,000 Avista customers without power in north Idaho

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho- Avista crews are working to restore power to nearly 4,000 Avista customers after a power pole caught on fire early Monday morning.
According to Avista's OUTAGE WEBSITE the pole caught fire just after 5:00 a.m. and knocked power out to 3,874 customers, at the peak of the outage. According to the website, estimated restoration for power to those customers is 9:15 a.m.
KHQ spoke with an Avista spokesperson who told us that the outage runs from I-90 in Post Falls north to Rathdrum and east and west from Highway 41 to Ramsey Road.
