Jeffrey Canino, 46, is believed to have stabbed his 43-year-old wife Michelle to death in the couples' Mead, Washington home early last Wednesday. Canino then turned the knife on himself and was taken to a downtown hospital in critical condition.
However, his condition rapidly improved and he was arrested Wednesday and placed under guard at the medical facility until his release Saturday.
Canino is expected to make his first court appearance Monday afternoon.
