Taveus Brown
Wesley VeazieSPOKANE, Wash. - Two suspects remain on the loose after a SWAT team invasion Wednesday afternoon. Approximately three hours after arriving at a home in the 1900 block of E. 4th to serve a search warrant, members of the Spokane Police SWAT team entered the house in hopes of finding at least one suspect wanted for kidnapping and burglary.
The investigation began Tuesday night when a man called 911 reporting that two men had come into his apartment, pointed a gun at his head and refused to let him leave.
Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, members of the SWAT team went to the lower South Hill home hoping to locate at least one of two suspects identified as Taveus Brown, 30, and Wesley Veazie, 22.
It is believed that Brown lives at the home with his girlfriend.
A woman and child were reported to have exited the home early into the ordeal, though as of 6 p.m. Wednesday no suspects had come out of the house.
After firing multiple rounds of tear gas into the home, SWAT team members entered around 6 p.m. However neither suspect was found in the home.
