UPDATE: Wildfire East of Soap Lake

SOAP LAKE, Wash. - The wildfire east of Soap Lake has now been contained. Size of fire area is estimated at 8 acres. The fire started about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday about one mile east of Soap Lake near Highway 28 and County Road 20-NE. No injuries were reported.

Highway 28 east of Soap Lake was briefly closed to facilitate firefighting efforts.

Firefighters from Grant County Fire Dist. 7 (Lakeview), 13 (rural Ephrata) and the City of Ephrata battled this fire
