Pastor Wayne Creach Fatal Shooting Case Handed Over To Prosecutor; Read Official Press Release

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: The Spokane County Investigative Response Team comprised of members from the Washington State Patrol, Spokane Police Department and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office has completed the investigation into the fatal encounter between Spokane Valley Police Officer Brian Hirzel and Wayne Scott Creach. The Team has delivered the case file to the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Upon review, the Prosecutor's Office may request additional follow up investigation, which investigators will provide.

The Medical Examiner's report still needs to be added to the investigative file. The Prosecutor's Office can begin a review of the case file, but cannot make a use of force decision without that additional report; which is forthcoming.
