IONE, Wash. - A 28-year-old man was arrested Monday night after a 3 hour standoff with Pend Oreille County Deputies.
Authorities say they responded to a shots fired complaint in Ione at around 4:40 pm Monday afternoon. When deputies arrived to investigate, they heard five shots fired from inside the suspect's residence in the 400 block of Blackwell Street. After hearing the shots deputies heard a male yelling from within the home and throwing things around.
Additional deputies were called and the U.S. Border Patrol assisted in setting up a perimeter and evacuating the area.
Numerous attempts were made to call the suspect out of the residence. The suspect, Aaron Tigner, came out of the home, unarmed around 7:30pm and was taken into custody. Tigner was charged with Assault in the 1st Degree and Violation of a Court Order.
