Accused underwear thief won't face sex charge

CHEHALIS, Wash. - A Chehalis man accused of stealing women's underwear will not face a sex charge.

Lewis County Prosecutor Michael Golden believes the crime was sexually motivated but he can only charge 27-year-old Donnie Donahe with residential burglary. He was arrested last week as police said he was fleeing the home where the break-in occurred.

An additional charge of tampering with evidence was added when Lewis County jailers found he was wearing stolen panties.
