SPOKANE, Wash. - It has been a long awaited trip for two very special men, and tonight they are home.
Two world war two Veterans are back in Spokane after getting the chance of a lifetime. They traveled to see the World War II memorial in Washington D.C.
World War II veterans Kenny Hitchcock and David Garinger arrived home today accompanied by Spokane Police officer Tony Lamanna. They were greeted by friends and family members all cheering for them.
The men say it was truly amazing to get a chance to see the world war two memorial at no charge to them, all because of the non-profit Lamanna brought to Spokane, called Honor Flight.
To find out more about Honor Flight and to donate, click on the "Find It" bar on the KHQ homepage.
