    SPOKANE, Wash. - At one time there were 125 members of the Lilac City Chapter of Pearl Harbor survivors. Sadly, that number is now down to one. Ray Garland is the sole survivor from the Japanese attack in Hawaii. Now 94 years old, he has vivid memories of that day 75 years ago as a member of the Marines.

Fairchild Air Force Base gave her an exclusive behind the scenes look of a historic KC-135 tanker on a mission to refuel jets. With only 40 feet between the tanker and fighter jet, Steph said they were close enough to wave at the pilot.

    KHQ - Major Scott Smiley was selected to raise the 12th man flag for the Seahawks game on Nov. 9th. He graduated from West Point and lost his eye sight while serving in Iraq. Veterans who have long passed away were finally remembered, honored for their service, and recognized with full military honors. The names of 76 different veterans were read aloud. After each name a single bell was rung once in their honor.>>

Samuel Stone died May 30 in Tallil, Iraq. Stone's death came about a month before his unit was set to begin returning home. Stone was assigned to 1st Squadron, 303rd Cavalry Regiment, a unit of the 81st Brigade Combat Team. It's the first death the brigade has suffered since deploying to Iraq.>>
