    CHEHALIS, Wash. - People tend to leave a couple of extra dollars for good service while dining out. However, one waitress from Lewis County, Washington, got more than just a couple of extra dollars. Waitress Michelle Bozemen got a $3,000 tip on a $44 bill at the Rib Eye restaurant in Chehalis, Washington, Sunday.

    SEATTLE (AP) - Microsoft co-founder and Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen has donated $1 million to a campaign seeking to raise the age to purchase semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21 in Washington state.    Allen made the announcement on Twitter Monday.

    Floodwaters expected to rise in Pend Oreille County

    PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. - Floodwaters from the Pend Oreille River are expected to continue rising throughout the week. According to the National Weather Service, the river is at 115.9 kilo cubic feet per second as of 5 p.m Monday. The flood flow is 95 kcfs. The river is expected to reach 130.53 kcfs by Monday, May 28. Emergency crews in Cusick are constructing a 1,400-foot long temporary levee in preparation for flooding.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Over the weekend the state of Washington dealt with its first cougar attack since 2009. Since those records started being kept, this is now the 20th ever attack on humans. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife estimates there are somewhere between 1,800 and 2,100 cougars throughout the state, most of the time they come out at night.

    POST FALLS, Idaho - Several weeks ago, homeowners in Post Falls reported they spotted a female cougar and her cub in their neighborhood. The specific area where Post Falls Police and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game received reports near Black Bay Park. Police say the two were also spotted near south Idaho Street and east Maple Avenue.
