And is thrilled to be the emcee for the Spokane Lilac Festival "Family Night" , "Coronation Program" and "Royal Tea Party". Some of her favorite moments have been jumping in to the freezing cold waters of medical Lake and rappelling down the 20 stories of the Bank of America building, all for the love of Special Olympics!

Leslie attended Central Oregon Community College, The American School of Broadcast and Mississippi State University.

When Leslie isn't working she can be found working out in some capacity, she loves running, cycling, Pilates and is hoping to find a little more time to golf! Leslie and her husband have raised their children here and are proud to call Spokane home.

Wednesday Morning Weather Update: Another Hot Day and Mountain T/Storms

Today: Another very mild morning temperature wise as we only fall into the upper 60s before warming back up again. Spokane officially hit 100° yesterday for the first time since August of 2009...and it looks like we'll fall just shy today. Some high clouds will be moving through today, as moisture pushes in from the south. That moisture could also spark some afternoon thunderstorms over higher terrain of NE Oregon, Central/Southern Idaho Panhandle and Western Montana. Spokane High: 97°

Satellite & Radar: The west coast continues to be under the influence of a dominant ridge of high pressure. That allows warmer air from the south to continue to filter into the region. But it's also allowing the monsoonal moisture from the south to move in leading to that threat of thunderstorms. Monsoonal moisture will also bring some severe weather east of the Rockies today where flash flooding will be possible over parts of Colorado.

Heat Advisory & Fire Weather Watch: Heat Advisory continues for the lower Columbia Basin and the Yakima Valley until 9PM tonight. Also a Fire Weather Watch has been added over the Blue Mountains of NE Oregon and SE Washington for the chance of thunderstorms each afternoon until Saturday. Those storms could potentially start new fires.
