    The Tri-City Americans (3-1-1-0, 7 pts) fell behind early to the Prince George Cougars (1-3-0-0, 2 pts), but took the lead in the second period and never looked back, earning a 5-2 win in front of 2,409 at the CN Centre on Friday Night.
  • Americans Start Road Trip with 4-3 Win over Kamloops

    The Tri-City Americans (2-1-1-0, 4 pts) never led against the Kamloops Blazers (0-5-0-0, 0 pts) until the third period, as Beau McCue’s third period tally was the difference as the Americans won 4-3 in front of 3,195 at the Sandman Centre on Wednesday night.
  • Americans Need Overtime to get Past Thunderbirds, 6-5

    The Tri-City Americans started the game with five goals, followed by the Seattle Thunderbirds (1-1-1-0, 3 pts) scoring five goals to even the score. Parker Wotherspoon netted the game winning goal in overtime to give the Americans a 6-5 win in front of 3,011 at the Toyota Center on Sunday night.
  • Americans Name McCue Team Captain for 2015-16 WHL Season

    Tri-City Americans’ Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced Friday that 20-year-old forward Beau McCue has been named Team Captain, along with teammates Brandon Carlo, Parker Wotherspoon, Parker Bowles and Taylor Vickerman named assistant captains for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
  • Americans Trade Ty Comrie to Vancouver for Bantam Draft Pick

    The Tri-City Americans have traded forward Ty Comrie to the Vancouver Giants for a conditional third round draft pick in next year's WHL Bantam Draft.

    A three goal third period for the Red Deer Rebels was the difference, as the Tri-City Americans (1-2-1-1) fell 5-3 in the final game of Day three of the Red Lion Hotels Pre-Season Tournament.

  • Former Ams Captain Hamonic Signs with AHL's San Antonio Rampage

    Tri-City Americans 2014-15 Captain Justin Hamonic has signed with the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage for the 2015-16 season.  Hamonic, who just concluded his 20-year-old WHL season, ended his career tied for 20th all-time in games played for the Americans with 255. 
  • Americans Sign 2014 Draft Pick Brett Leason

    Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced Wednesday that the team has signed 2014 Third Round Bantam Draft pick Brett Leason to a standard WHL Players Agreement.  Leason was drafted 50th overall by the Americans in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.
  • Americans Choose Defenseman in CHL Import Draft

    Tri-City Americans' Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced Tuesday that the club has selected Juuso Valimaki with their pick (14th overall) in today's 2015 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.  
  • Two Americans Selected in 2015 NHL Draft

    The Tri-City Americans are proud to announce that two players were selected in the 2015 NHL Draft.  18-year-old defenseman Brandon Carlo was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 37th overall.  17-year-old defenseman Parker Wotherspoon was also selected by the New York Islanders in the fourth round, 112th overall.
  • Americans Sign 1st-Round Bantam Draft Pick

    Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced Friday that the team has signed 2015 First Round Bantam Draft pick Carson Focht to a standard WHL Players Agreement.  Focht was drafted seventh overall by the Americans in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft in May.

    Representatives from all four Washington State-based Western Hockey League clubs and WHL Commissioner Ron Robison were in attendance Monday in Olympia to witness the signing of Senate Bill 5893 by Washington Governor Jay Inslee.

  • Ams Goalie Evan Sarthou Invited to Elite Goaltending Camp

    Tri-City Americans Goaltender Evan Sarthou has been invited to the Warren Strelow National Team Goaltending Camp, May 7-10, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  The camp is a select camp made up of the top goaltenders in each age group eligible for international play.
