Kalae is excited to be part of Spokane's #1 morning show with Sean Owsley and Shelly Monahan. Each morning, in her Crime Tracker report, she offers tips on how to protect your family from crime and ensure that you too are following the law. Her "Chock Talk" segment shows viewers what's trending on the Internet and covers the stories people will surely be discussing around the watercooler. Kalae also anchors the KHQ Saturday morning show.
Kalae has anchored Spokane news since 2005, and previously worked in Kalispell, Montana at KAJ-TV and in Missoula at the CBS affiliate KPAX. She graduated from Washington State University in 2002 from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication. She is in her final year of graduate school at Gonzaga University, seeking a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership Studies.
Kalae is most proud of her family. She and her husband, Robby, welcomed their daughter, Leialoha, into the world in 2007, and their son, Kekoa, in 2010. Kalae looks forward to raising her children in Spokane, a community she loves.
