    The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children ages 2 1/2 -18 with life threatening illnesses. Children can wish to have something, wish to be something or wish to go somewhere. Wishes have proven to have a significant impact on a child's health. In the midst of doctor visits, hospital stays and medical treatments, a wish gives a child a chance to turn their focus away from their illness and experience something they before had only dreamed of.
