    COLFAX, Wash. - Two Steptoe residents are facing charges after deputies found drug paraphernalia, hydrocodone pills, and small amounts of both heroin and methamphetamine at their home. 20-year-old Meagan Rhuby and 19-year-old Wyatt Schmidt of Colfax were arrested for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies in Whitman County say they served a search warrant for the home Thursday

    KHQ - A police K9 in Alabama passed away on Friday after being left in a patrol car. The Gulf Shores Police Department didn't say how long the dog was left in the car but while transitioning between duties on Thursday, June 18th, Mason's handler forgot the dog was in the vehicle. When the dog was found, he was in terrible shape and taken to a veterinarian but died the next day."The prosecuting office has decided not to press criminal charges against the officer.>>

He wanted to show the dangers of leaving the vulnerable, like children, pets and the elderly, in vehicles on a hot day, even if you think it's just for a short time. After just 7 minutes in the car, the officer's heart rate has increased to 155 BPM.>>
