    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - At the Frontier Arena in Coeur d'Alene, almost 50 young skaters have been practicing to perform at the Team Challenge Cup. They'll be the first to take the ice Sunday, April 24, 2016. "We're doing an exhibition show to open the exhibition at the end of the competition," said skater Courtney Kirschke.

She's been sent all the way to Spokane to cover the Team Challenge Cup. As Sugino explains, ice skating is an extremely popular sport in Japan. "It's a very big sport now since Shizuka Arakawa took the gold medal at Torino."

"He was looking for a partner, and I was small enough and light enough to lift," Coomes said. "And we're good friends." The two moved to America to train. They say the U.S. is a second home for them, even if they have to deal with a lot of questions about their accents.
