Andrea Olson KHQ News Reporter

Andrea Olson joined the KHQ news team as a weekday reporter and weekend producer in March 2016. She was raised in Redmond, Washington. Andrea studied at Bellevue College for two years before transferring to BYU-Idaho in Rexburg to study both journalism and video production. Andrea interned with KIRO 7 Eyewitness News and Q13 FOX News in Seattle where she gained a love for television.

She previously reported, produced and fill-in anchored for NBC Montana in Missoula. Andrea's covered a wide variety of news while in Montana. She reported and made valuable connections in the Markus Kaarma and Diren Dede garage shooting case that turned into an international controversy.

When Andrea isn't working, she loves to go skiing, eat cookies (this is her all-time favorite dessert!), spend time with family, and try new things that she's never done before.

She's thrilled to be back in her home state and excited to discover Spokane!
