    CHEWELAH, Wash.- Wednesday evening, Chewelah Police Officers, assisted by Stevens County Sheriff’s Deputies, responded to a domestic violence call where the suspect reportedly assaulted his wife and would not allow her to leave their residence, in the 800 block of W. Robert Avenue in Chewelah.

    LYNN, Mass. - The owner of a Massachusetts coffee shop says she's closing her business because of the firestorm created when her daughter, the store's manager, made anti-police comments on Facebook. The owner of the year-old White Rose Coffeehouse in Lynn tells The Daily Item she is closing "so I can stop being harassed."

    KHQ.COM - A video Cornell University freshman made for a class assignment is shining light on an honest reality that many don't ever talk about: The transition from home to college can leave many feeling lonely.  Bergmann is a Fine Arts Major from Montclair, New Jersey and was told to depict a "transformation" for her class. "I knew I would only enjoy making the video if the subject I was showing was something I had strong feelings about."
