    SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia physician says her plan to honor a fallen soldier by singing the U.S. national anthem aboard a Delta Air Lines plane carrying the soldier's casket was stopped by a flight attendant who told her it would violate company policy.

    WINFIELD, Colo. - A Colorado hiker is lucky to be alive after he spent three nights stranded near the summit of a 14,000 foot peak last weekend. Shuei Kato, 36, was reported missing last Sunday when he didn't come home after hiking up Missouri Mountain. On his way down, he took a wrong turn and ended up four miles off the trail with only a few supplies.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Wind advisories are in place for most of the Inland Northwest today and into tomorrow. In higher elevations, gusts are estimated to reach over 40 miles per hour. Katie Kosanke, the Urban Forester for the City of Coeur d’Alene, says if the leaves on your trees may have fallen too early or turned fall colors too soon that may be a cause for concern.
