SPOKANE, Wash. - It was July of 1989. A man's beaten body was found floating near the Nine Mile dam. Years and years have passed with no leads on the case. That's because investigators do not have the most crucial piece of evidence, his name. The man was someone's son, likely a friend, a neighbor. Someone out there has to be wondering what happened to him.

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Bureau of Land Management has placed a temporary ban on target shooting in eastern Washington as hot, dry conditions bring high dangers of fire in the area. The BLM says legal firearm hunting is still allowed. Target shooting activities have already contributed to several fires on BLM lands this summer burning over 2,000 acres.

SPOKANE, Wash. - The skies above Eastern Washington lakes and rivers have been a little busier these days. With wildfire season raging on, emergency crews have relied on air attacks from planes that scoop water. They're called fire bosses and you won't want to be in between them and the water when a fire is nearby. "It's extremely dangerous and they are an emergency vehicle," said Howard Platter of Newman Lake.
