    BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A Medicaid expansion proposal has received enough signatures and will be on the November ballot. Idaho Secretary of State Lawerence Denney on Tuesday said more than 56,000 valid signatures have been counted. The signatures include at least 6 percent of the registered voters in at least 18 of Idaho's 35 legislative districts.

    SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - It turns out that voters in Washington state's Ferry County will not have to buy their own stamps to mail in their primary ballots this year. Ferry County Auditor Dianna Galvan said Tuesday that she had overcome budget concerns that had prompted her to conclude the small county could not afford prepaid postage on ballot return envelopes.

    SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A female pedestrian was struck by a truck in a hit-and-run incident Tuesday afternoon in downtown Spokane. Around noon Tuesday, the pedestrian was crossing at S Monroe St at W Sprague Ave. when she was hit by a truck turning from Sprague onto Monroe. The truck stopped initially, but then sped off southbound on Monroe. The victim was left lying in the street, where several citizens stopped to provide aid and call 911.
