    LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) - State and federal entomologists are tracking the spread of a tiny invasive insect that feeds on fir forests. The Lewiston Tribune reports the Idaho Department of Lands says the balsam woolly adelgid has the ability to rearrange the species composition of Northwestern forests, and it's already been found in northern Idaho.

    Follow up leads Spokane PD to arrest of vehicle prowl suspect

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police arrested a man early Monday morning in connection to a vehicle prowling spree in the area of Francis and Division over the weekend. Sunday around 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of vehicles being prowled in the parking lot of Ace's Casino on the 6300 block of N. Division. Two vehicles had been broken into overnight, with one victim reported a firearm had been stolen.

    Vehicle goes over embankment at High Drive & 33rd, one person dead

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police say one person has died after driving over the embankment near High Drive and 33rd.  The victim hasn't been identified.  Crews will be working in the area for the foreseeable future so avoid the area if you can.  The cause of the crash is under investigation.
