SPOKANE, Wash. - At around 5:30 p.m. Friday fire crews responded to the report of a structure fire located in the 500 block E. Everett Ave.
22 firefighters quickly arrived on scene and extinguished a fire that had spread to the kitchen cabinets from a burning pot of food on the stove.
The fire was confined to the kitchen and the single occupant of the home was able to get out uninjured. No firefighters were injured.
