KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho - The Idaho State Police have cleared the scene of a semi tractor trailer crash on I-90 at Milepost 28 about 10 miles east of Coeur d'Alene.  The crash happened in the westbound lane of the freeway around 11:15 Sunday morning, and blocked the right lane for several hours.

State Police on scene said the crash was not weather related, but happened when the driver of the semi tried to pass a vehicle at a high rate of speed causing him to lose control and flip the semi's trailer onto its side.

The driver was not injured, but was fined by ISP for causing the crash.  No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
