

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho - Authorities are investigating a single vehicle rollover collision just north of Post Falls that sent five people to the hospital Monday night.
At approximately 7:00 Monday, members of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Department, Northern Lakes Fire Department, Kootenai County Fire and Rescue responded to the area of N. Idaho Road and Hayden Avenue for a single vehicle injury crash. Responding crews were told an SUV had rolled over and several subjects had been ejected from inside the vehicle.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found three subjects had been ejected from the vehicle and another three subjects were still inside the vehicle. Authorities say the SUV appears to have been southbound on N. Idaho Road when the driver lost control of the. The SUV rolled and came to rest in a field on the west side of the roadway.
Due to the number of injured subjects, ambulances from Hauser Lake and Spirit Lake also responded to the scene to assist in transporting five of the subjects to Kootenai Medical Center.
The Sheriff's Department says that none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening and the cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Sheriff's Department Traffic Unit.
