23-year-old woman killed in car wreck on Hwy. 2 Monday morning - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

LINCOLN CO., Wash. - A fatal car wreck in Lincoln County, just west of Davenport, had Hwy. 2 partially blocked until at least 10 a.m.  The crash happened after 7 a.m. Monday.  

23-year-old Heather Hockett was driving a 2006 Chevy Aveo eastbound on Hwy. 2, when police say she lost control and crossed the center line and collided with a GMC Yukon headed in the opposite direction. 

Hockett was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin was notified.  She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.  Police say Hocket is from Cheney and Portland.

Washington State Patrol officers say that weather was a factor in the wreck.  The driver of the Yukon, 41-year-old Kimberly Cole of Davenport, was transported to a hospital in Davenport with minor injuries.
