The main concentration is in Chewelah and near Spokane Valley. Crews have been working all day trying to restore power after a storm moved through the Spokane area early Saturday morning. In just a little over three hours Avista has gone from almost 3000 customers without power, to just over 300.

SPOKANE, Wash. - As of about noon on Saturday Avista is making substantial progress in returning power to their customers. Approximately 1200 people are now without power, nearly half of what was reported at around 11:00 am. Again, crews are working quickly in trying to get power restored.
SPOKANE, Wash. - As of 11:00 Saturday morning, Avista is reporting approximately 2500 customers without power. The majority of these outages is Othello with over 1800 residents experiencing outages. In the Spokane area, there are close to 450 residents without power.
