Labor Day weekend weather: One day that's the best...and then there's the rest.
Tonight: higher-based clouds drift through with light winds and low temperatures in the upper 40's.
Friday: Savor days like this! Sunny with high temperatures in the mid 80's around Spokane and 90° in the Basin…High School football players and fans score a beautiful, warm evening.
Weekend Outlook:
Saturday: Sunny day and slightly cooler at 77°…A windy afternoon and evening with Southwest winds gusting 25-30mph picking up dust and buffeting drivers (including the golfing variety) …gusts over open water lakes will also make for tough boating and fishing conditions.
Sunday and Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy with highs down into the mid 60's. Scattered showers are likely Sunday afternoon into Monday morning with mountain T-storms. Campers venturing into the Idaho Panhandle Mountains should prepare for periods of stormy wet weather Sunday evening through Monday.
FYI: Expect cloudy skies and intermittent sprinkles for Seattle's "Bumbershoot" arts & music festival Sat-Mon. Dave
