SANDPOINT, Idaho - Four horses seized in an animal cruelty case in January are healthy enough to be sold at an auction.
Dawn Dempsey has returned the horses to good health after they were taken from a Spirit Lake residence where authorities say they had no food or water.
Dempsey says the horses were very thin and were oblivious to things going on around them.
Court records say the case against the owner was dismissed April 25th because the horses were forfeited.
The horses range in age from three to 25 years old and will be auctioned May 12th by the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.
