Washington Secretary of State uses MySpace to promote voting

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Washington's Secretary of State has found a new way to use MySpace. Sam Reed is using the popular website to reach out to young voters.

If you visit Reed's official website, you'll find graphics that you can put on your MySpace page. The images encourage people to vote by letting viewers add the graphics to other pages - along with comments. Users can also send out reminders to vote to their friends.

Reed said using MySpace to promote voter participation was obvious to him, given the fact that it's the third-largest website in the world.
