SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office as issued a warning that a Level III sex offender who was convicted in 1999 of two counts of Second Degree Child Molestation has registered a new home address in the 6700 block of North Regal.
Authorities say James M. Combs victimised two girls, five and six years old. Combs subjected the girls to pornographic material and took sexually-explicit pictures and photographs of them that he gave to another man who was involved in a child pornography ring.
Combs was released from prison in 2001 and is now classified by law enforcement as a Level III sex offender, those most likely to re-offend based on their known criminal history.
James Combs most recently resided inside the City of Spokane. He is a 35-year-old white male who is 5'10" tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
The Sheriff's Office says Combs is not wanted at this time, and this notification is made only in the belief that informed citizenry creates a safer community. Use of this information to intimidate, harass or threaten sex offenders will not be tolerated by law enforcement, and could in fact cause law enforcement to lose its ability to make such community notifications.
