
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Overshadowing their first preseason game, the New York Jets introduced Brett Favre as a member of the team at an press conference in Cleveland Thursday.
Favre was acquired from the Green Bay Packers Wednesday night.
Packers general manager Ted Thompson says trading Favre was difficult emotionally but added he thought all parties involved felt the deal was the best result for a difficult situation.
Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum says quarterback Chad Pennington will be traded, making Kellen Clemens the backup to Favre.
