Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -  Another local Rite Aid pharmacy was robbed of Oxycontin pain medication Monday, this time at 12115 E. Sprague.

Officers responded to the business around 8:50 a.m. after the suspect approached a pharmacy employee and held up a sign demanding oxycontin. After the employee gave up the drugs, the robber fled the store on foot.

Police say the suspect didn't displayed a weapon or indicate he was armed.

Nearby who officers set up a containment area, suspecting that the man would use a getaway vehicle, were still unable to catch the robber. Officers also tried unsuccessfully to track the suspect with a police dog.

The robber was described as a white male in his 20's, skinny build, a dark complexion, about 5'09" tall and 150 to 160 pounds, with short black hair. He had a thin mustache and acne or scarring on his right cheek.

Police say the man was wearing large dark sunglasses, blue jeans, black-soled shoes, a blue hooded sweatshirt and a blue stocking cap with a white band around it.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery or any other recent pharmacy robberies is asked to call the Spokane Valley Police at 509-242-TIPS.
