TACOMA, Wash. - Rogers run, even if it was in the consolation bracket, is over. The Pirates lost 67-74 to Foster on Friday afternoon.
Foster, which won its first state tournament game since 1998 a day earlier, took command of the game late in the third quarter. Refugio Soto-Lopez led Foster with 19 points. As a team, they held onto the win by making six of eight free throws down the stretch.
The Pirates come home, knowing they made it to the state tournament for the first time since 1975. Foster advances to play O'Dea for either 5th or 8th place.
